Experimental composer Claire Rousay releases on holding today, a five-track EP that also inaugurates her new independent label, quality sounds ltd. The project draws from recordings collected while touring across Europe and the United Kingdom during 2026.
Rather than treating those experiences as disposable background material, Rousay transforms them into musical compositions incorporating environmental sounds, hotel-room electronic experiments, live recordings and piano performances captured between soundchecks into delicate ambient music.
