Ear’s Rumspringa announcement keeps A24 Music in the experimental-pop conversation

New York electronic duo Ear recently announced Rumspringa, due 29 May on A24 Music, and the news remains a strong 21 May item for readers following the experimental-pop and electronic underground.

The project is still partly mysterious: the Pitchfork report noted that the duo had not yet shared tracklist, artwork or music from the album, but described it through the phrase choose life. That opacity fits Ear’s position. Jonah Paz and Yaelle Avtan met at Bard College and bonded over British post-punk and IDM, building a sound that sits between instinctive electronic collaboration, art-school intimacy and slippery pop structure.

Rumspringa follows their 2025 debut The Most Dear and the Future and the recent single Ne Plus Ultra, while its release through A24 Music adds another layer of cultural curiosity.
