Golfjugo bring Swiss DIY warmth and slacker-rock fog on Darts

Golfjugo release Darts on 9 May through Chrüsimüsi Records, offering a six-track dose of Swiss DIY guitar music that moves between garage, lo-fi punk, slacker rock and detailed indie storytelling. The project is led by Danis Kobilic, with a band lineup featuring Martin Camprubi Figueroa, Nikolaus Marin Kirchner, Tia Gurtner and Severin Wyss, plus backing vocals from Peiwen Liang.

The record was produced, recorded and mixed by Vojko Huter, mastered by Rea Dübach, and released with physical cassette options, including a cassette and zine edition. The album description is especially fitting: these are songs that cut through the fog of the present while carrying forward older indie DIY culture.

That makes Darts sound less like a polished bid for algorithmic attention and more like a record built for small venues, photocopied zines, late-night conversations and guitar lines that take their time. Tracks such as Make-Up, Quicksand, In Your Hands, Teflon, Pillowcase and Fog suggest a compact but atmospheric release, one that seems interested in warmth, patience and emotional detail rather than instant hooks.
