Josh Caffé signs to dh2 and opens The Velvet Hour with Limousine

London-based artist, DJ and vocalist Josh Caffé signed to dh2 and announced The Velvet Hour, his debut project for the dance label, due 17 July. He also released Limousine, a single co-produced with Quinn Whalley of Paranoid London, with George Daniel contributing to the arrangement and Margot Broom mixing.

The song is framed around infidelity, emotional avoidance and the glamorous emptiness of someone chasing distractions instead of facing what they might lose. That makes Limousine a strong club-pop story for 28 May because it understands dance music as theatre as much as rhythm. The EP draws from queer club culture and spaces such as IsBurning, Adonis, Panorama Bar and Horst Festival, while Caffé points toward Prince and Gaspar Noé as part of the wider inspiration field.
