London alternative-pop duo Silver Gore have released "Just Like That" through Island Records, continuing an increasingly productive year that has introduced their music to audiences across Britain and Europe. The project consists of Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn, whose recordings combine experimental pop arrangements with emotionally ambiguous songwriting.
"Just Like That" follows earlier 2026 singles "Don't Tell Your Friends", "Peculiar" and "Black Cherry Liqueur", as well as the duo's 2025 debut EP Dogs In Heaven. Gore describes the new composition as an exploration of romantic confidence and the uncomfortable relationship between personal freedom and the desire for reassurance. Its lyrics examine the contradictions involved in pushing emotional boundaries while quietly hoping that somebody will provide protection or forgiveness. An accompanying visualiser extends the recording's presentation.
Silver Gore have also announced a London headline concert at the George Tavern on January 12, 2027. Before that appearance, the duo will support Yard Act during British performances in Glasgow, Sheffield and Manchester. December concerts supporting Nia Archives are scheduled for Brussels, Paris and Dublin. Their recent festival appearances have included Truck, Haldern, Mutations, Dot to Dot and End of the Road.
The new single demonstrates how emerging independent-pop musicians can develop distinctive identities through experimentation rather than conventional genre expectations. Apparently the most complicated part of modern romance is deciding whether to behave fearlessly or ask somebody to explain the rules first.
